Vine Connections Announces the Debut of Its New Chilean Portfolio

Vine Connections’s goal is to identify great wine regions and to partner with the most highly regarded wine producers. “Chile is in the midst of a revolution, the kind that wine geeks love. We found a fantastic group of wineries intent on taking advantage of the unique terroir all over the country.” said Nick Ramkowsky, co-founder of Vine Connections.

Vine Connections will be the exclusive national importer of 9 wineries producing 45 wines from 11 different valleys that represent the diverse valleys in Chile, including:

  • Amayna, Leyda Valley
  • Aquitania, Maipo and Malleco Valleys
  • Casa Silva, Colchagua Valley
  • Clos des Fous, Cachapoal and Malleco Valleys
  • Garcia & Schwaderer, Casablanca and Maule Valleys
  • J. Bouchon, Maule Valley
  • Mayu, Elqui Valley
  • Merino, Limari Valley
  • Von Siebenthal, Aconcagua Valley

“We are excited to have identified wineries that embody this ‘new Chile.’ Stretching from Malleco in the south to Elqui in the north, it’s the first time an importer has focused on telling the story of the regionality and terroir in Chile. We hope to change the perspective in the US wine world. ” said Ed Lehrman, co-founder of Vine Connections.

Chile has the perfect mix of climate, soil, and terroir that makes for ideal winemaking conditions.  Chile is surrounded by influential natural barriers – the Andes Mountain, Pacific Ocean, and Atacama Desert – that have shaped the land and created unique terroirs that in turn yield incredibly unique wines.

Wines will be available in the US starting May 1st. For distribution information, see here.
