Featured Cocktail: The Orchard Outlaw

Jacquelyn Pobst has always had a passion for creative recipe development, but it was not until the St. Louis native moved to Kentucky, that her craft bartending career really took off. With fourteen years of experience in the industry, she is the featured bartender at the Kentucky Derby Museum’s interactive Urban Bourbon Trail Exhibition, and has recently earned the title of Certified Spirits Specialist from the Society of Wine Educators. “Because I have a sweet tooth,” notes Pobst, “I like Red Delicious apples for my Orchard Outlaw. When I think of fall, I think of apple picking. I created this recipe with orchard harvests in mind”

Orchard Outlaw

2 oz Larceny bourbon

1 oz Briottet Manzana Verde

1 dropper apple cider vinegar

1 dropper Fee Brothers Black Walnut Bitters

1 dropper Angostura bitters

Pour ingredients over rocks in an Old Fashioned glass and stir. Garnish with three thin apple slices (a mandoline is best for slicing)
