Featured Cocktail: The "Never Setter"

Craigie On Main Bartender, Ted Gallagher, Shakes up Something Peppery and Sweet

Ted Gallagher’s love for fermented and distilled beverages began during his time stocking shelves and delivering wine at Marty’s Liquors in Allston, Massachusetts. It was a long journey from stocking to training for the position of bar manager at Craigie, where he’s proud to be a part of a team that emphasizes hospitality, service, the highest quality product, and having fun doing what they do. The “Never Setter” is a cocktail choice from Craigie’s extensive list that mingles sweet, sour, and peppery flavors in a refreshing libation.

Never Setter

1 1/2 oz Szechuan peppercorn-infused Plymouth Gin

1/2 oz Aperol

1/2 oz maple sugar simple syrup

1/2 oz fresh lemon

1/4 oz Cocchi Barolo Chinato

Dehydrated orange wheel presoaked in Peychaud’s Bitters until it has taken on the red color for garnish

Chill and prep a rocks glass with one large ice cube. Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake vigorously, and strain through a tea strainer over the ice cube and into the glass. Garnish with an orange wheel placed on top of the cube.
