Phillips Majestic Blue Crab Meat Stolen in Transit to U.S

Baltimore, MD. - April 5, 2019 - Phillips Foods has learned that a transport truck carrying a full load of their Majestic Blue Crab Meat was stolen while in transit in Mexico on the way to the United States yesterday.

"Our first concern is always our customers. We want to make sure they aren't buying stolen crab meat that's been subjected to mishandling," said Phillips President and COO Dean Flowers.

Phillips urges their distributors to only purchase Majestic Blue Crab Meat directly from Phillips or their two re-distributors, DOT Foods or RW Zant. Every case of crab meat purchased direct from these three points is assured to meet strict quality control standards and precise temperature controls.

This major theft is currently under full investigation, and Phillips Foods is working closely with authorities in Mexico and the United States.
