Golden Foodie Awards Announces 2013 Top Awards and Nominees

[Orange County, Calif.] ---- The Golden Foodie Awards is thrilled to announce the 2013 nominees for the top three award categories of the season - the Golden Chef Award, the Golden Pastry Chef Award, and the New Restaurant Award. The top three contestants in each category embody the highest level of culinary expertise in Orange County and beyond. One winner in each category will be announced at the September 29 gala and take home the coveted 14K gold plated Golden Foodie award.
 
"The caliber of culinary talent nominated each year is incredible. It’s always exciting to see who the community votes as their favorite during The Golden Dine Out and announce the top three contenders for each award," commented Tricia Cook, Executive Vice President of Operations for the Golden Foodie Awards. “The Golden Foodie Awards are about connecting the foodie community to celebrate what they love most, the best culinary experiences in Orange County.”
 
The 2013 list of nominees is star studded with celebrity chefs, trendsetters and tastemakers of the culinary industry. Each category acknowledges a unique vertical within the culinary trade with one award that crowns the Golden Chef honor of year.  During the month of August the public has the opportunity to decide the best chef, restaurant and cuisine in OC during “The Golden Dine Out,” where the community is encouraged to dine out and vote for their favorites on line at www.goldenfoodeiawards.com. The top voted for each category are compiled and present to the Golden Foodie Awards Guild Members voting panel where each winner is carefully chosen based on overall food quality, consistency, flare for creativity and community involvement. 
 
A list of categories in which the public can nominate their favorite restaurant, chef and more for during  “The Golden Dine Out” will be available at goldendineout.com. Tickets to the Golden Foodies Awards gala are currently available for $175 per person at: http://goldenfoodieawards.com through August 31. After August 31 tickets will be available for $200 per person.
